Activities and Events

RISE Center activities are at the heart of the RISE Center. Activities planned for the quarter bring students together and have them explore topics of importance, celebrate community, or learn about a new community. Activities are planned and implemented by the Lion's CREW (creating resources for equity and wellness) student team. If you would like to suggest an activity the RISE Center could sponsor, please contact RISE Center staff. All students are invited to all activities.

Join LWTech in celebrating the academic achievement of our diverse student body. This invitation only event, sponsored by the RISE Center brings students and staff together to celebrate our graduates.

Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement. LWTech honors and celebrates Juneteenth so we may reflect, assess, and identify self-improvement strategies for future involvement. People of all races, nationalities and religions may join hands to truthfully acknowledge a period in our history that shaped and continues to influence our society today. Sensitized to the conditions and experiences of others, only then can we make significant and lasting improvements in our society. Learn more from Juneteenth.com
