How to Join TRIO

TRIO at LWTech provides more than academic support. TRIO provides a safe place for you to ask questions and find resources. From the moment you enter the TRIO programs, you will have the support you need to help you achieve your academic and personal goals. You can complete the TRIO application online—you will need your LWTech email address and password to access the TRIO forms.

TRIO Programs at LWTech

There are two TRIO programs at LWTech

  1. Student Support Services (SSS) 
    For first-generation (you do not have a bachelor's degree and neither do your parents or guardians) and/or low-income students
  2. Support Services for Students with Disabilities (SSSD)
    For students with documented disabilities*

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the TRIO program, the following eligibility requirements must be met:

  • Citizen, national, or permanent resident (green card holder) of the United States
  • First-generation and/or low-income, OR student with a disability
  • Enrolled or planning to enroll at LWTech
  • Enrolled in a BAS degree, Associate Degree, or Certificate of Proficiency program
  • Meet the criteria for academic services set by the TRIO Projects
  • Complete an application and attend first appointment with a TRIO advisor
