Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) is the only public institute of technology in the state of Washington. We offer 12 bachelor's degrees42 associate degrees, and 70 professional certificates in 41 areas of study, including STEM-focused programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. 

LWTech offers programs in:

LWTech provides multiple opportunities and entrance points for students to gain the skills and knowledge needed to compete in today's global workforce. Students can continue their education at LWTech through high school programs, adult basic education, certificates of proficiency and completion, apprenticeships, associate degrees, professional and technical direct transfer degrees, applied baccalaureate degrees, and continuing education. The college also offers a number of support services, such as tutoring, child care, English as a second language, and advising to help students succeed.

LWTech maintains strong ties with business, labor, educational organizations, and the community at large. To ensure that the college meets current and future workforce needs, representatives from business and industry serve on the President's Advisory Council and on advisory committees for each program. Additionally, the college works closely with local governments and elected officials, state and federal legislators, and community organizations to support economic development in our region.

The LWTech Foundation Supports LWTech by:

  • Providing students with scholarships and emergency financial assistance, enabling them to pursue their academic and career goals.
  • Providing support for instructional programs, including: funds for materials, equipment and projects; professional development opportunities for faculty; and opportunities for students to compete in regional and national competitions.
  • Developing and maintaining relations with corporations, businesses, community organizations and individuals for the benefit of the college.
