Professional Development Resources for All Employees

LWTech strives to provide meaningful training opportunities to all employees. Several departments, committees and task forces on campus plan and develop learning opportunities in their areas of expertise. The Engagement and Learning office and other departments will advertise them in regular workshop updates.

Current Professional Development Topics

Since Fall 2019, we have been offering Accessibility training to employees on how to make Word, Outlook and PowerPoint documents accessible. You will see these listed in the workshop email updates each quarter.

Check out HR's FAQ's for information on class waivers at LWTech and other WA State public colleges.

Each quarter, the CCEC  plans many courses that are available to you as an employee for FREE with an employee waiver!

Check CCEC's quarterly offerings.

Contact the CCEC office to find out if you are eligible to receive a waiver for the course you are interested in. Call (425) 267-0150 or email learn@everettcc.edu.

Human Resources schedules Ethics training regularly for our employees. Ethics training needs to be taken every three years.

LWTech has an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council that works to develop trainings for college employees. You will receive updates from that group in your emails.

LWTech has established an internal leadership development program, LEADS, designed to provide professional growth opportunities for current and future leaders of the college.

Contact Human Resources with any questions.

The Living Well committee plans training events and fun outings for employees. Look for emails sent on behalf of the Living Well committee or visit their webpage for upcoming wellness related offerings.

LinkedIn Learning is a paid subscription offering thousands of training videos to LWTech students and employees. Create your own LinkedIn Learning account and start perusing the many subject areas.

You will receive mandatory and useful trainings from the Human Resources office through a training portal on topics such as FERPA, Ethics, and Title IX. (Sometimes these will land in your Junk folder, so check there if you are expecting them.)

Contact Human Resources for questions on mandatory trainings.

Check out Campus Public Safety for information on safety and security. They are also willing to come to your department or classroom for a safety presentation for your group.
