Office of Student Life
The Office of Student Life (OSL) supports student involvement in many student focused opportunities. These opportunities create a space and place for all students to engage, meet new friends, get to know college resources, or be involved in academically supportive activities. See below for all Office of Student Life has to offer.
Office of Student Life Centers
The Office of Student Life coordinates activities for students through it's Centers. Get to know our Centers with information below.
The ASG is the student body's student focused organization. Five student body officers
represent student issues to college executive board administration. ASG officers attend Board of Trustees Meetings, assign students to tenure committees, represent student voice on college committees, and charter clubs. Attend open weekly meetings where ideas and issues are discussed.
RISE Center programs help all students, especially our BIPOC students, engage in activities
and social spaces that support underserved community members. The Center has social
space to meet new friends, community resource information, and a social justice focused
library check out. The Center also coordinates, with Lions CREW, social justice and
equity focused activities for all students.
The Veteran's Center, located in East Building E131, is an area where all students,
especially Veterans, military dependents, and active duty personnel, can study, socialize,
and grab a cup of coffee.
The Wellness Center serves all students, and has programs available throughout the
quarter. Programs like stress reduction, alcohol and other drug information, or mental
health strategies. The Center also coordinates use of gym equipment.
Programs Supported by the Office of Student Life
Office of Student Life supports different programs for students to engage with student life throughout their time on campus.
LWTech celebrates the academic achievement of its students through the annual commencement program. Office of Student Life manages this program that involves the whole college community. Look for updated information in January of the graduation year.
Lions CREW is our group of student activities and marketing student staff who create campus life activities. Activities focus on equity and wellness. Look for ways to join the team in spring quarter.
LWTech supports the Beta Iota Tau student club, connected to the academic achieving international associated, Phi Theta Kappa.
Student Club Communities engage enrolled students in leadership opportunities, while encouraging them to have fun with friends. Club Communities are started or renewed by club officers or members interested in pursuing a particular topic of interest.
Office of Student Life Services
OSL maintains some services for students who need additional services during the quarter.
Campus Postings (posters, flyers, tabletop displays, etc.) are regulated by Office of Student Life. Postings include community announcements, roommate requests, for sale items, and on campus activities.
As a courtesy to students needing to fax financial aid documents to the federal government, our office helps students with that task. Bring forms to East Building, E128, and ask for faxing support.
Daily Eating Necessities (DEN) is for students who need a small snack during the day. Located in the East Mall, the DEN is open to all students. Donations are accepted in East Building, E116, the Wellness Center.
The meditation room, managed by the Wellness Center, is a place where all students are welcome to spend time praying, meditating, or being in peace. Check out a card to gain access.
