With the privacy and security of our organization, its students, faculty, staff, and other community members who trust and rely on us as our priority, we took quick and thorough steps to secure our systems and activate additional cybersecurity protocols. At LWTech we have a handy, easy-to-use dashboard where you can access all of the IT applications you use on a daily basis (Canvas, Microsoft Outlook, LionsLink, etc.) from one place. Follow the steps below to get started using your Okta Dashboard.
Starting January 31st, 2024, all students will be required to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when logging into their LWTech Okta account, which includes:
Note: Students have already been using MFA in LionsLink since November 15th, 2023.

If you don't have a phone, reach out to the Help Desk for assistance checking out a YubiKey. Don't delay! Starting January 31st, you will not be able to log into your Canvas classes (or other LWTech Okta applications) without a phone or YubiKey.
Starting January 31st, follow the directions below to start using MFA to log into your LWTech Okta account.

Follow the steps below to get started using LWTech Okta with MFA.
Before logging into the Okta Dashboard (lwtech.okta.com), you will first need to use the Password Reset Tool if ANY of the following applies to you:
If you are in this situation, please follow the LWTech Password Reset Directions which will allow you to set up a new LWTech password. After you have changed your password, you will be able to setup your Okta Dashboard following the directions below.
Initial account setup is one time only, for new students. If you are a current student who has already logged into the Okta Dashboard before, you can skip the account set up steps, and start at step 2 - MFA Login Directions.
If you are a current student (or a new student who already completed the initial account setup steps above) follow the directions below to log into your LWTech Okta account using MFA for the first time.
Important: A phone or YubiKey is required for MFA login. Before continuing, if you do not have a phone that can be used for MFA please reach out to the ITS Help Desk for assistance checking out a YubiKey.
Okta Verify is another option for verifying your identity when logging into your LWTech Okta account using MFA. It requires you to download an Okta Verify App on your phone. Please note that is an optional method of verification.
If you don't have a phone that can be used for MFA, please reach out to the Help Desk for assistance checking out a Security Key (YubiKey). A YubiKey is a small hardware authentication device that allows you to complete MFA by plugging it into your computers USB port and tapping it.
After you have obtained a YubiKey, complete the steps below to set up and log into your LWTech Okta account using MFA.
