Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction is a free academic support similar to tutoring. We target courses with high enrollment rates and historically low success rates. Student facilitators are embedded in the courses they support, allowing them to become more familiar with the students and faculty. Facilitators assist with in-class work, help facilitate classroom discussions, and lead weekly study sessions to assist students with assignments, prepare for tests, and build skills that will lead to better success in their current course and future courses in that sequence.
Supplemental Instruction Schedules
Schedules will be updated weekly.
In addition to the schedules listed below, we will have a drop-in session for all supported math and programming classes on Friday afternoons in the Library Computer Lab to help students get caught up and ready for Fall quarter final exams - Fridays in T215 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting February 14th.

2024 Winter Quarter
January 13th - March 12th
Hybrid Supplemental Instruction (SI)
Many of our supported classes will be offered with online or in-person options to best support the changing needs of our students.
- Supplemental Instruction will offer support both online and in-person.
- Online synchronous and asynchronous courses will have online SI sessions.
- We will offer both online and in-person sessions for most of the in-person courses, so that students can choose to keep some of the flexibility of the online learning environment, as well as having the flexibility of evening and weekend sessions.
NOW HIRING FOR SPRING QUARTER
SI positions are available - supporting Biology, Computer Programming, Digital Gaming, Writing and Math. Weekly commitment is an average of 8 hours/week for each class supported.
Please email the Supplemental Instruction Manager if you are interested.
