External and Government Relations

The office of the president manages state and federal government relations for Lake Washington Institute of Technology. The president along with her designees:
- Advocate for LWTech and the community and technical college system by maintaining and building relationships with the Governor's office, legislators, elected officials from LWTech's service district, and partner agencies and organizations.
- Support the legislative agenda for the community and technical college system.
- Coordinate legislative engagement of college representatives.
Advocacy partners include, but not limited to:
- Association of Washington Business
- Washington Business Alliance
- Washington Technology Industry Association
