Be part of the award-winning LWTech Society for HR Management Student Chapter!

When you join the Human Resource Management program and take the first class, BUHR 210 HR's Role in Organization & Program Overview, there is a lab fee. This fee pays for your Society for HR Management (SHRM®) student membership. The membership is good for one year, and you can choose to continue it on your own after this timeframe.

LWTech SHRM Student Chapter Mission 

  • Provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight into effective HR Management.
  • Promote awareness and networking for HR students, HR professionals, and business professionals in the Pacific Northwest. 
  • Committed to learning how to strengthen the HR profession, use best practices, and ensue that HR plays a strategic role in organizational effectiveness.
  • Further the development, improvement, and application of HR management practices consistent with the highest standards of ethics and practice.
