Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) recently discovered that it was the victim of a data breach incident. With the privacy and security of our organization, its students, faculty, staff, and other community members who trust and rely on us as our priority, we took quick and thorough steps to secure our systems and activate additional cybersecurity protocols. TRIO provides you services if you can identify as: low-income, first-generation (neither parent nor guardian has a bachelor’s degree and neither does the student), or have documented disabilities. TRIO staff encourage you to complete a degree or certificate and transfer to a four-year college in Washington or elsewhere, if possible.
To assist you with that goal, you will receive the following from TRIO.
LWTech TRIO services provides academic and support services to students who are low-income, first generation, or students with disabilities. We encourage students to complete their degree or certificate and transfer to a four-year college if possible. LWTech students who are TRIO participants may receive one hour of one-on-one tutoring per class per week for most general education classes.
eTutoring is available to all LWTech students on Canvas.
Students can access eTutoring through any current Canvas course. The link is located at the bottom of the navigation list in each Canvas course.

The Learning Lab Drop-in Tutoring
LWTech's Learning Lab (Technology Building 217) is a dynamic learning environment where students work together with each other, facilitators, and tutors to better understand how to learn course concepts, access resources, and apply principles
There are eligibility requirements to join TRIO and all students should work with TRIO to learn if they may receive specialized services for academic and social success.
Managed by TRIO, the Learning Lab is open to all students.
