Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) recently discovered that it was the victim of a data breach incident. With the privacy and security of our organization, its students, faculty, staff, and other community members who trust and rely on us as our priority, we took quick and thorough steps to secure our systems and activate additional cybersecurity protocols. Additional information about this incident can be a found on the 🔗Data Security Incident Page.
LionsLink Powered by ctcLink is a self-service cloud-based software that provides a set of common, mobile-friendly tools for students and staff to manage college business online, such as enrolling for classes, viewing financial aid, and other college business.
Learn how to log in and complete a variety of activities in LionsLink. If you can't find the information that you need or are having trouble, check out the additional support section for help.
When logging into LionsLink powered by ctcLink, all students must now complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to increase account security. Follow the MFA Setup Directions for LionsLink below for step-by-step directions.
As a reminder, there are two separate logins and passwords for the Okta Dashboard and LionsLink.
Login Format:
Login Format:
On the login page, click the 'Activate Your Account' link at the bottom of the page.
If you already have a ctcLink ID number from another college in Washington State, you DO NOT need to activate your account or receive a new number.
Directions can be found in the Activate your LionsLink Account how-to guide below.
On the Student View Dashboard, click the 'ctcLink Login' tile to:
You can get most of the same information from both Views, but you will need to use Classic View to:
At LWTech we have enabled Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all students and employees
when logging into LionsLink. This enhances overall system security and keeps your
account more secure. Follow the directions to sign-in to your LionsLink account using multi-factor authentication (MFA) and set-up additional authentication options.
Before getting started:
Go to the LionsLink/ctcLink sign on page.
A Verify it's you with a security method pop-up message appears.
The next series of pictures will show what you will see when you select the Phone or Email MFA options.
You are now logged into your Okta My Apps homepage. Select the ctcLink box to get to the ctcLink Gateway page.
Your screen will now show the pop-up message below. Enter your password and select Verify. After this you will see the ctcLink Gateway page.
SBCTC recommends students and staff use Okta Verify for ctcLink multi-factor authentication (MFA). Through the Okta Verify app, you can set up to receive a push notification or enter a code from an electronic device. Instructions for how to set up both are explained below.
Note: If you do not have a device that accepts SMS messages that can be used for authentication, please reach out to LWTech IT for additional assistance.
After logging into LionsLink powered by ctcLink. Select the Password Settings box on your My Apps Okta Homepage.
In the Security Methods column of your Account page, select the Set up button to the right of Okta Verify.
A pop-up notification will display. Please select the Set up button.
You will need to go through multi-factor authentication (MFA) one more time with the phone (text) or email security methods before you can go to the next step in the process.
Another pop-up notification will appear. Please follow steps 1 through 3 listed on the screen. Do not close this window, because you will need to scan the QR Code when requested.
Tip: If you already have another account through Okta Verify, you will need to select the plus button to add an additional account type for ctcLink Okta.
You can now select the Get a push notification (Okta Verify) security method the next time you log in to LionsLink powered by ctcLink.
To use this verification method, follow the steps below:
Another option you can select through the Okta Verify app is to Enter a code. To choose this method select 'Select' to the right of Enter a Code Okta Verify.
The Enter a code pop-up message will appear.
If you don't have a device that can receive SMS (text) messages to be used for MFA,
please stop by the library to checkout a Security Key (YubiKey). A YubiKey is a small hardware authentication device that allows you to complete MFA
by plugging it into your computers USB port and tapping it.
Go to the LionsLink/ctcLink sign on page.
On the Verify it's you with a security method pop-up screen, Select Security Key or Biometric Authenticator as your authentication option.
Insert your security key (YubiKey) into the USB port on your computer.
Touch the Y circle button in the center of your YubiKey.
Now you are signed into your My Apps Okta Homepage. Select the ctcLink box, and you will reach the ctcLink Gateway page.
Since you are an employee at LWTech, you've already been completing MFA to log into LionsLink. You can continue to login the same way as before, using MFA.
Starting Friday February 16th, Security Question will no longer be a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) option for LionsLink powered by ctcLink. This has never been a recommended option for employees or students at LWTech as it is not the most secure way to verify your identity. If you have any questions, please reach out to the ITS Help Desk.
Reach out to the ITS Help Desk for support.
We're excited about you wanting to apply and join the LWTech experience! Visit the Get Started webpage and follow the steps.
Additional application directions can be found in the Submitting an Admissions Application Guide.

The form lists out-of-pocket tuition and related expenses. Follow these instructions to view and consent to receive your 1098-T online, instead of by mail.
Please Note: It is the responsibility of the student or other taxpayer to determine actual eligibility for tax credits. As a college, we cannot provide you with tax advice. You may wish to find out if you might be eligible by reading information on these websites:
You may also wish to consult the IRS or a tax accountant for help. Your own check receipts, credit card statements, or copies of receipts showing tuition and fees paid at the time you registered may support your claim.
