Four LWTech Students Named 2025 Phi Theta Kappa All-Washington Academic Team

Four students from the Lake Washington Institute of Technology, Alexander Wells, Sophie Chissus, Michele Woods and Ting Wang, were named for the 2025 Phi Theta Kappa All-Washington Academic Team.

Wells is passionate about storytelling through art in video games and is currently pursuing a degree in Digital Gaming and Interactive Media from LWTech; Woods is enrolled in our Applied Science in Behavioral Health program and aims to use her newly acquired skills to help other women; Chissus is in our pre-nursing program and while her long-term goal is to be an Operative or Labor/Delivery nurse, she also aims to go back to school someday to earn a master's degree to become a nurse practitioner; Wang is in the Nursing program and aspires to become a specialized nurse in healthcare informatics.

The All-Washington Academic Team program showcases Washington’s community and technical colleges by honoring academic high achievers who have shown a commitment to success both in the classroom and the communities in which they live. This recognition also demonstrates the state’s commitment to scholarship and community service on the part of those attending the state’s public community and technical colleges. To qualify, recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and community engagement, and be nominated by their college.

Congratulations to our 2025 All-Washington Academic Team!
