Our admission requirements for international students are very simple at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Our doors are open for any student who has dreams, and our mission is to help them get accomplish their goals. We do not require TOEFL/IELTS scores for admissions and we issue I-20s in three business days. Form I-20 is a Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status.

LWTech is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) at the associate degree level and at the baccalaureate degree level. NWCCU is the same organization that accredits universities. The credits students earn at LWTech are equivalent to those earned at accredited universities in the area.
Our tuition is much more affordable compared to bigger universities.
Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a one-year full-time off-campus employment authorization issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT is only available one time at each level of education. Therefore, students who obtain a four-year degree, can only be authorized one time in four years. However, students who obtain an associate degree first can be authorized one time at the associate degree level and another time at the bachelor's degree level. As a result, they can have a total of two years of authorized off-campus employment.
By starting at LWTech, students who are interested in obtaining graduate degrees or exploring a broader range of bachelor's degrees will have approximately two years to research and explore all of their options!
