Public Health
Is Public Health Right For You?

If you're passionate about health and wellness issues such as childhood obesity, hypertension, healthcare disparity, infectious disease epidemics, environment and health, workplace safety, and other issues, then public health is for you. A career in public health allows you to impact the lives of many and become an advocate for the health and protection of others.

Our Classes Fit Your Schedule

The Public Health degree program features our popular hybrid/evening format designed for working students. It allows you to take classes at night and online so you can continue to work or care for your family during the day.

Application Deadline

The priority admissions deadline was June 16, 2014.

Lake Washington Institute of Technology is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities at the associate degree level and at the baccalaureate degree level to include the Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Health.

"Public health refers to all organized measures (whether public or private) to prevent disease, promote health, and prolong life among the population as a whole. Its activities aim to provide conditions in which people can be healthy and focus on entire populations, not on individual patients or diseases."
